CPD: Arrest made in fatal Bailey Street shooting
Columbia Police Department says investigators have charged a man in connection with an isolated fatal shooting that happened during the Christmas holiday. The Columbia Police Department has arrested 35-year-old Tony Middleton in connection with a fatal shooting during the Christmas holiday. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Bailey Street at the Colony Apartments on December 26. Police found a male victim with no signs of life and a gun was also recovered during Middleton's arrest. The Philadelphia Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police has filed a lawsuit against a city law banning officers from pulling over drivers for low-level offenses, claiming it illegally pre-empts existing state laws on traffic violations.
