ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Students in the Allentown School District are being given access to mental health services.

A media release from ASD say its launching a first-of-its-kind program in partnership with Hazel Health.

The program expands access to mental healthcare services to all 16,700 District students, school district officials report.

The program will allow students to work one-on-one with a licensed therapist, at no cost to their families.

The program can be used during the summer.

The Allentown School District is now the first district in Pennsylvania to partner with Hazel Health to offer the in-person counseling programs with virtual therapy services.

The service will also be available at school when students return to class on August 26.
