$1,400 In Retail Thefts At ShopRite, Kohl's Top Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week. The Lower Makefield Township Police Department in Pennsylvania has reported a total of $1,400 in retail thefts and attempted vehicle thefts over the past week. The most recent incident involved an arrest on the 900 block of Stony Hill Rd. at Shady Brook Farm for an attempted theft of a motor vehicle. The vehicle fled after a felony car stop and a pursuit was initiated when it crossed I-295 in the wrong direction. A juvenile male was eventually located on the 2200 block of Yardley Road. Fraud was reported after an unknown person altered a mailed check and attempted to cash it.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Retail thefts and attempted vehicle thefts topped the criminal incidents over the past week that the Lower Makefield Township Police Department released in its blotter.
FLEEING/ELUDING ARREST —900 block of Stony Hill Rd. at Shady Brook Farm, reported at 3:49 a.m. The complainant reported the attempted theft of a motor vehicle in progress by a subject in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee. Officers attempted to conduct a felony car stop, however, the vehicle fled. A pursuit was initiated but terminated shortly after when the vehicle entered I-295 in the wrong direction. Officers were later able to locate the vehicle on the 2200 block of Yardley Road. A juvenile male admitted to being the driver. He was taken into custody.
FRAUD —Unit block of Lavender Drive, reported at 12:20 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and attempted to cash it.
