2 Hospitalized After Head-On Crash Closes Road In Chester County

Both were transported to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center, where they remain in critical condition. The road remained closed until 11:35 p.m., with the Traffic Safety Unit continuing to investigate the accident.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Two people were hospitalized after a serious crash shut down a roadway in Chester County Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred on the 600 block of Route 322, which runs as Brandywine Avenue, in East Caln Township at around 8:03 a.m. A man driving a silver Honda Fit and a woman driving a white Chevy Equinox crashed head on into each other, police said.
Fire and EMS crews provided emergency medical care on scene, and EMS crews transported them to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center, where both remain under care. Brandywine Avenue remained shut down until 11:35 p.m. as cleanup commenced. Downingtown's Traffic Safety Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
Downingtown Police, Westtown - East Goshen Police Department Traffic Safety Unit, Downingtown Fire & EMS, and Good Fellowship EMS responded to the scene.
