Javonte Williams' patience pays off with career-best performance in Cowboys' win vs. Eagles
The Cowboys' lack of commitment to the run game had been a hot topic until Williams was unleashed in Philadelphia with a 25-carry, 155-yard outing. Javonte Williams performed a career-best performance in the Cowboys' 38-21 win over the Eagles, running for a career high 155 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries in the team's game against Lincoln Financial Field. The team made an emphasis on running the ball after largely abandoning it in the first six weeks of the season. Despite not having a game with more than 20 carries in that span, Williams showed patience and ability to let holes in the defense. The offensive line also contributed to his performance. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott praised Williams' patience and the team’s high-powered offense.
